The X-Files Gallery Season 1

The X-Files is an American sci-fi/horror TV series created by Chris Carter. The show recounted the exploits of FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) who investigate the X-Files : marginalized, unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena. Mulder believes in the existence of aliens and the paranormal while Scully, a skeptic, is assigned to make scientific analyses of Mulder’s discoveries that debunk Mulder’s work and thus return him to mainstream cases. Early in the series, both agents become pawns in a larger conflict and come to trust only each other. They develop a close relationship, which begins as a platonic friendship, but becomes a romance by series end.

The X-Files was a hit for the Fox network. By the time it ended, the show had become the longest-running science fiction series in U.S. television history (202 episodes). The series spawned a spin-off show The Lone Gunmen, and two feature films. The series won multiple Golden Globe Awards and David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson received multiple award nominations. It became a popular culture touchstone, tapping into public mistrust of governments and large institutions and embracing conspiracy theories and spirituality.

The X-Files Season 1
FBI Special Agent Dana Scully is assigned to work with Fox Mulder on a group of unexplained cases labeled as X-files. Mulder believes that the paranormal can explain most of the cases, whereas Scully is more interested in finding a scientific, logical explanation. As they begin to investigate the cases, they encounter various people including Eugene Victor Tooms, a limb-stretching mutant serial killer, and Deep Throat, a character who helps Mulder to find explanations. However, Mulder’s informant is murdered and the X-files are closed down as he and Scully begin to suspect a conspiracy within the FBI itself…
