Doctor Who TV Series 7 Story 237 The Crimson Horror Episode 11

The Crimson Horror is the 100th episode since Doctor Who was relaunched in 2005.

In 1893, Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh) and her partners Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart) and the Sontaran Commander Strax (Dan Starkey), investigate the Crimson Horror, a mysterious condition leaving victims as statues with red skin, after discovering that one victim has the image of the 11th Doctor visible in one of his eyes.

Investigations lead them to Sweetville, an idyllic community run by Mrs Winifred Gillyflower (played by Diana Rigg aka Emma Peel in the 60’s TV show The Avengers) and the never-seen Mr. Sweet, apparently as a home for the chosen few to help them survive the coming apocalypse. Jenny Flint infiltrates Sweetville, where she discovers the Doctor, chained up in a cell. Winifred Gillyflower has a daughter, Ada Gillyflower (Rachael Stirling), who is blind and has scars on her face from her mother’s experiments…

Actress Rachel Stirling is the real-life daughter of Dame Diana Rigg, The Crimson Horror episode was specially written for them.
